Tenning

February 26th 2007 00:00
Tenning.com

I was directed here via a comment from my other blog. It is a Digg style site where people submit top ten lists, the lists themselves are hosted on the servers, there is no outbound linking. You sign up, create the list on there and submit it, it gets voted up if it’s good or down if it… sucks.

Naturally there are some crazy top ten lists around, such as ‘Top Ten burning questions that the internet has answered for me recently number three being the funniest ‘How many 12 year olds could I beat up before they'd overtake me?’.

Another list that caught my attention was ‘Top Ten Things I Don't Ever Want to be Stabbed With’ with number one being a squid. Why a squid you ask? Well I don’t want to spoil it for you.

Why Islam is a Backwards Religion

February 24th 2007 07:04
Yes it is, so backwards, it doesn’t allow people to think freely, it forces narrow-mindedness and intolerance and it definitely doesn’t produce people like me who go to university and write on blogs.

Lets face it, it’s all a tremendously huge conspiracy theory by evil Muslims, never in history have Muslims and non-Muslims, lived together in peace under Islamic rule, never in history has the structure of an Islamic government changed (for better or for worse) oh and most certainly never in history has a Muslim not wanted anything more than peace. They are all just evil hell bent on suicide bombings.

Islam is so strict on what one can learn, must learn and shouldn’t learn, for instance Muslims should not learn about the origins of the universe because it definitely was not even mentioned in the Quran. Muslims should not learn about such things as mathematics either, especially when what they learn could be so advanced that it wouldn’t be re-discovered until 520 years later in the 1970’s.

Of course Islam doesn’t simply restrict Muslims from learning about the world, it also restricts them from learning about the world from non-Muslims. Islam only preaches violence against non-Muslims and calls for Jihad against them, it definitely does not get you to align with them to fight a common cause.

An example of Islams inability to integrate with different societies and cultures can be perfectly seen in the example of Mosques from different countries. All Mosques have to have a dome on top and be made of expensive granite. After all, building a Mosque is the first step towards the Islamic dominance of any society.

It’s all a conspiracy, whatever they tell you it isn’t the truth, Islam is a backwards religion, everyone who disagrees has bought into liberal and Muslim lies, they have re-written history, Muslims can never get along with anyone since they always demand everyone change for them.

So if you really want to learn about Islam, go here and here and just for the heck of it, go here too.

Area 51, Secret Medical Facility?

February 21st 2007 13:29
Mad Scientist
Typical Mad Scientist
Way back in the hey-day of Soviet Russia and the cold war there was a facility hidden deep in Russian forests. This facility was a place where (mad) scientists were performing medical experiments, inane, cruel, heartless medical experiments on animals and possibly human beings.

The reason for this was simple, to see what could be done with organisms. The experiments culminated in a two headed dog and a complete head transplant of a monkey

I was a bit shocked, just 40% more? Kids need to play more physical Wii games such as Wario Ware: Smooth Moves

Melatonin, your biological clock, hear it tick?
Excessive TV viewing apparently reduces the production of a specific hormone called melatonin and as such children watching too much television can be adversely affected in many different ways. It can affect the sleeping cycle of children, the immunity system and even trigger the onset of (premature) puberty, all caused by a lack of the hormone

I don’t know if it’s just people who keep only voting up the same stories but Social News Sites such as Digg and Reddit are going around in circles with what they take to their respective front pages, and quite frankly they are getting boring at it.

When communities develop they change bit by bit, they eventually reach this level where they attract a certain kind of person and isolate others from it. This creates a massive community with a single ideological view on different matters with very minor differentiations from member to member

It doesn’t, as of writing the only ‘credible’ scientists who are refuting global warming being caused by humans are being paid $10,000 by oil corps, the other bunch who are refuting it believe the apocalypse will happen before global warming drastically changes planet earth as we know it

How would that be? It goes back, all the way to the manufacturing of the fan that is supposed to keep the damn thing from over heating. It started making an extremely loud noise, like it was constantly impacting with something else while spinning. Thankfully it came with a two-year warranty. After calling the customer service people to organize a repair the technician stated that odds were it was to do with dust, that we were free to open the case and dust it

Some clever dude decided to get the average of about thirty people for different ratings, for instance about thirty people who got scores from 1 through 3.4 where all merged and averaged out into a single face. By doing so you can get a good idea of what idea beauty is. Bare in mind in the process of creating the computer generated models the faces look cleaner and more attractive than they would in real life

How Easy a Mac is

So I read in the February issue of ‘Macworld’ of yet another one of those ‘from PC to Macintosh’ migrants. Jason Snell (editor) speaks of how his retired ex-executive uncle decided to move over to Mac claiming that the reason he wouldn’t move of past was because that Windows based software would not run on Mac’s and since the Mac’s switch to Intel CPU’s it has become more efficient to run Windows applications natively on OSX.

But why would his uncle move to Mac? Apparently because OSX is so much ‘easier’ to work with than Windows. The Mac Fanboys really, really, need to get their heads out of the sand if they really want to move on and properly challenge Microsoft’s dominance, there ‘once upon a time, happily ever after’ stories just doesn’t cut it, ignoring the facts does not make everything better
