Fake Digg Members Digging/praising Ron Paul?
May 21st 2007 17:19
I just thought it was the generel Digg bias but this particular Digg submission is kind of making me doubt were talking about Digg members here.
A lot of the members commenting were only recently registered, also if you follow the comments down the line:
It goes on and on.
Now I don't mean to speak on behalf of Digg but the comments above have all been dugg up, yet they all don't come off across as comments that would be Dugg on Digg (particularly the last one).
Maybe it's just my imagination but I think we either have some sort of micro community that is supporting Ron Paul like crazy (perhaps originating from Ron Paul's own official website) or it's just a couple of people with too much time on their hands trying to satirize Diggs infamous bias.

"At every turn Ron Paul does or says something that makes me think "Oh my, there is hope for us yet!""
"Dr. Paul is our only hope in this election. Jesus Christ is our only hope in this world. God bless him and keep him safe."
"We need everyone to tell 10 people about Ron Paul and have them tell another 10 people and so on.
I just sent his PCC $250 and I commit to another $100 a month until this thing is won.
Everyone give $5, $10. Give anything. Give the cost of one Starbucks coffee every week.
We have chance to make a difference and save the country. It is probably our last chance.
Imagine our country with Giuliani or Hilary in the White House
Small donations to Ron's campaign will be cheaper than the bullets we will need later"

Quite a few of the members were only recently registered on Digg, also the following comment on the submission:

Was at 10 diggs when I put it up here on this blog. Now it's -22. Ar eyou in all honesty telling me regular Digg members like that sort of comment? Mentioning Jesus Christ is like cutting your own wrists yet this guy went up quite high before he inevitably fell down.
