Fusion tech by 2010
December 13th 2006 07:24
Fusion technology may revolutionise semiconductor technology, it might start 2010, and Samsung will be spearheading it all if it should.
Right now there is a limitation to transistor sizes, right now it is theorized the manufacturing process cannot be below ~25nm. Naturally there needs to be a great shift in the fundamental of creating chips 101.
The shift in development will be sort of like the shift from fat ass vacuum cleaner for a computer to fat ass computer without a vacuum cleaner (take a look at the size of the transistor!) to the not so fat ass computers to anorexic bitches.
Well maybe not really, but we’ll see, Samsung reckons it will see a merger of all the various branches of technology such as IT and Bio tech.
We may see them in our everyday electronics by as soon as 2010, I’d imagine though that is an optimistic shot, perhaps by 2015 when there will be a need for them.
