Perhaps the single biggest example of how the free market is NOT COOL when it comes to public health, especially when the government is on the payroll of the companies running the health care system, including medications. Children have contracted the AIDS virus from tainted medication made by Bayer, in full knoweldge of the fact by the US government, and by Bayer!

Criminal negligence, at the very least, this is criminal negligence, though it's more like conspiracy, they knew it had the virus, so they sold it to over seas countries to avoid any massive backlash closer to home.

Nice one, assholes.

This isn't really normal with me, not by a long shot, but Michael Moore doesn't seem to have any problems with it, so neither do I. There are fears that the US treasury department may try to confiscat the movie given it is against the law for any American citizen to travel to Cuba (some sort of whacked out law from 1969). Download it and feel noble - you're fighting an oppresive regime trying to censor people.

In reality Michael Moore has nothing to lose and everything to gain, given this is a DVD release of the title I wouldn't be surprised if he was directly responsible for it, who else in the world has direct access to the negatives?

Heres the trailer:

Heres a link to Google. Why not download a bittorrent client such as BitLord? Really cool program

The Small Penis

June 2nd 2007 14:07
I tend to be put off by vulgar or low brow jokes, I'm more of a Black Adder type of guy than Mr. Bean, there was this one time I thought up the most depraved and sexist joke this side of the galaxy, no way in hell will I ever say it.

But this isn't about me, this is about the galaxy, this is about one day communicating with aliens from another world, this is about how aliens will think were a bunch of freaks who did not evolve proper via natural selection and have found the need to walk around showing off a mans penis yet pretend the womans 'sensitive' area is next to non-existant (bleh ok, I'm just waiting to be laughed at right now).

Just think about it, aliens look at that picture and look at the womans crotch, then they look at a picture of Britney Spears, it just doesn't add up, what will they think of us?

Nasa sent a capsule up into space so that aliens might see it, I don't know what aliens will make of it, though...

Aliens

In hindsight (and sight of the penis) the artist might have been a woman. Statistically speaking more women think a mans penis is smaller than men do, I don't know... I'm just a boy.

Screwing With Nature

May 13th 2007 13:47
While we can make great headways in our society we can't fight our physical make up, we can't have sex like rabbits lest we get STD's, we can't prolong our own lives lest we live in misery and we certainly can't have babies at the tender age of 60 lest we be jerks.

Think about it, after thousands of years of developing we as humans have been fine tuned to make babies at a young age, somewhere between 16 and 30 is probably the ideal age, statistically speaking once you reach 40 the chances of you producing mutant offspring increases considerably

Change Your Moods?

May 9th 2007 13:32
I-Doser, a freely downloadable program, claims to be able to make you feel a certain way using 'Binaural brainwave doses for every imaginable mood'.

Kind of scary but I decided to give it a shot, I mean, whats to lose? I've been busting my butt on a little project of mine and wanted to try out the 'content' mood

They are like Microsoft because the bastards want to get their hands into everything, they are unlike Microsoft because everything they do get their greasy hands into only benefits themselves and no one else.

Oh, and they are Luddites, just about every obstacle in the past ten years that have stopped the progression of technology from medicine to the internet has come from conservatives, to put more specifically, neo-conservatives backed by average Joe conservative (who isn't too smart

Circumcised men have up to 60% less chance of contracting AIDS from an infected woman than their ‘longer’ counterparts.

Of course nothings good without what we call ‘studies’, so lets get to the dirty details. French and South African researchers took 3000 male subjects between 18 and 24 and randomly selected half to be circumcised

TV Worse Than We Knew

February 20th 2007 15:49
A study which was published in the science Journal ‘Biologist’ has found that cutting television time for children has to be a priority for health reasons.

melatonin
Melatonin, your biological clock, hear it tick?
Excessive TV viewing apparently reduces the production of a specific hormone called melatonin and as such children watching too much television can be adversely affected in many different ways. It can affect the sleeping cycle of children, the immunity system and even trigger the onset of (premature) puberty, all caused by a lack of the hormone

No, this isn’t a joke, this is the real deal.

The reasearch consisted of two groups, 6,246 women ages 25 to 45 who had performed fellatio and swallowed on a regular basis over the past five to ten years, and 9,728 women who had not or did not swallow. The group of women who had performed and swallowed had a breast cancer rate of 1.9 percent and the group who had not had a breast cancer rate of 10.4 percent.

Super Hot, Super Wrought Part Deux

February 13th 2007 15:13
Why that ugly girl is hotter than Anna Nicole Smith.

It’s fake. I’ve already shown something similar, this example is a little slower and shows an excessive extreme of it, instead of a model being pampered and smeared with make up, it’s just a random photograph

The cure for paralysis?

November 11th 2006 20:12
With the advent and advancements of neural networking nanotubes perhaps we’ll have doctors of the future wondering what doctors of these years used to do without the technology. Neural networking nanotubes can one day act as artificial nerve cells which can block off pain or control muscular movement.

Nanotube
3D animation of a single walled Nanotube
Nanotubes are perhaps one of the biggest discoveries that has resulted directly from the buckball capabilities of carbon elements. Essentially they are a collection of carbon atoms that form a tube, their diameter measures to about 1/50,000th the width of human hair. They have many and varied applications from space science to medical technologies

Staying fit with Technology

September 23rd 2006 03:54
Coincidences are a strange thing, for one thing they are always coincidental. When I wrote about how technology can make lazy people fatter but it can also be used positively I had a hunch that some cyber gym existed somewhere on the planet that uses computer games or technology in general to encourage people to work their crude matter.

Overtime
A new idea or simply a silly gimmick?
Invariably I was right, it’s called Overtime. A high-tech gym for 13-18 year olds who otherwise don’t go to the gym or do any exercise of the sort. It practically is an arcade with physical movements being a must, quite literally. There are ‘games’ were our fellow sits on a bike and pedals his heart out while a computer monitor shows him moving through a virtual 3D world or others that require them to step on buttons on the ground so they form complex ‘dance’ moves

Technology makes you fat

September 20th 2006 03:03
Super Mario 1up
Well Mario's weakness is mushrooms, just can’t get enough of 'em
Well this would probably be a half-decent McDonald’s defense against a lawsuit claiming it is only McDonald’s fault people are fat. McDonald’s will counter and say its technologies fault, so fat people ought to sue technology rather than McDonalds.

Technology does make things a heck of a lot easier, everything is so streamlined now, you send emails instead of letters, and even for inter office communications nowadays (who wants to get up and walk over to the next cubicle anyway?) you can travel great distances without so much as breaking a sweat in a car. Your work probably requires little physical activity, and what it does contain is your fingers moving all over the place on a keyboard. Here is an article on how technology affected world wide obesity

I remember hearing about this a while ago, apparently now it’s going on sale. While in countries such as Britain they are combating the rising number of kids on mobile phones due to health risks, it looks like here Telstra is looking to profit from it.

Mobile Phone
Could this be more dangerous than we might assume?
Sir William, the chairman of Britain's National Radiation Protection Board says that giving children under 9 mobile phones was ludicrous. He has reason to be concerned, when a mobile phone is used research shows that 70 to 80% of the energy emitted by the antenna (this is radiation we are talking about) was absorbed by the head. While it is still speculative at this stage wether it affects our health it certainly is a cause for concern
