Hold Camera Upside Down for Better Picture

December 23rd 2006 01:58
Taking photographs of peoples faces while holding the camera upside down helps cover up blemishes and wrinkles that would otherwise be easily noticed if the camera was held right way up says Website Digital Camera University.

The reason behind this oddity is the positioning of the flash, given it is mounted above the lens it creates slight shadows when bouncing off the subjects face making blemishes and wrinkles more apparent.

You can see an example on digitalcamerau.

Wow!

I didn't know that! I better give it a try some day.

Thanks for the tip!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2007!
