I'm Such a Personal Type of Guy

May 1st 2007 13:11
I have been accused by none other than the queen of the leaches (read: far right wingers) of taking everything personally,

"You have the unique ability to turn everything into a personal assault on either yourself or Islam"

Yes dearest, I do have a habit of turning everything personal, please explain, how did I take it personally? Heres what you were replying to:

Yeah, I did some research and sure came up with proof that global climate change is a swindle, clearly I was brain washed by my teachers, how dumb I am.

Here, let me use the Kyoto protocols to disprove global warming.

Since companies have to exhume less pollution it means it will cost them more and inevitably cripple economies, so yes, global warming is false and I'm a moron for taking high school science in three different schools over a period of three years, damn teachers, they're all so liberal wanky hippy bastards.

Blame everyone but yourself, like trying to talk to some folks from the Nation of Islam, you try to reason with them but they tell ya it's all a conspiracy, that there were no white men 1500 years ago and some mad scientist created them, show them proof and they'll say it's a swindle or propaganda or whatever, it's the same here, sweetheart.

You can't disprove it because I am in the right, you don't like thinking about it being the truth so you blame it on such and such person, you claim about 8 high school teachers I've had are all 'too stupid' or 'too afraid' to 'think for themselves', I bet you'll extend that to anyone who disagrees with you with no proof (as always).

It's easy to point your finger and blame, it's what people who try to disprove global climate change do, and they do it a lot. It's amazing but it's the corner stone of any person arguing against our involvement in global climate change, that either I've been brainwashed or have been fed inaccurate data this or that, the irony is oil companies have scientists on the pay roll trying to disprove our involvement in it and they can never come up with anything lest it be beaten down by anyone with half a brain,

So keep at it, when you're wrong you try avoiding facts, you accuse people randomly and blindly, when you're wrong, you're wrong and this is the reaction to it, I always get this reaction. Not once has someone trying to dispute global warming has done it on scientific grounds, it's always science mixed with politics, failing that (as you just did) it's jsut random finger pointing and accusations.

So I'm going to say 'yes, I believe you, my teachers brainwashed me and all those credible scientists came from a whorehouse', oh I'm so smart. Conservative or not, whether or not I agree if Global Climate change is real or not, I'd be an absolute MORON to accept what you present to be as any sort of proof.

I was originally replying to this:

Ahmed, you got brainwashed in school by a bunch of teachers too stupid or terrified to think for themselves. Have you ever heard of a whorehouse? That's where they keep a lot of scientists today.

As for the Solomon Is., sinking, etc., processes like that, short of an earthquake take hundreds or thousands of years. This- you have to do something in the next 10 years- stuff is simply pushy Nazi propaganda. What if they told you you have to get into the ovens right away?

Sweetheart, I have been going out of my way to not be personal about the matters here, in fact it is you and Howard who have been getting all personal, Howard says I was brain washed by teachers (apparently teachers are in the business of brain washing pupils with facts).

So long as were talking about personal you might have noticed that I didn't reply to anything SL had to say, because oh I don't know, they all started with personal attacks,

Ahmed, go have another glass of Mr. Gore's Kool Aid.

As always, Ahmed, you haven't got a clue...

Howard was also a very polite person, he never ever took any personal shots at me, as anyone can see, he simply claimed I was brainwashed, it ain't personal if it's fact... oh wait, shouldn't we both agree that I'm brainwashed? Otherwise it's an insult, right? I mean I can say you're a cannibalistic maniac and you'd have to agree, you said so yourself, but you can't just take a pot shot at me and say it isn't personal.

Not just me, your personal attacks extend to people you simply disagree with, you want people deported because they disagree with you, wow, I mean you want an American born man deported from his country, god knows, you probably want to throw me in an oven, compare yourself to the Nazi's, sheesh, us environmentalists, we care about the environment (believe it or not) and have no association with such racist ideals. heck, if anyone has any racist ideals it's you, I mean, were the ones trying to let the refugee's in and you're the ones saying they are dirty and will ruin our country, if anyones racist it's you folk.

I encourage everyone to read the source material, the corner stone of their arguments thus far have been 'such and such person did this' with nor elation to the science. Their one almost credible reference, to the global warming swindle documentary was fantastically discredited.

About the cannibal joke: Yes I read SL's blog, I'm not a moron and I don't agree with her but unlike her I'm open to all sides of politics the best way to destroy an enemy is by reading their blog

Might I also compare SL to Sony fanboys? I wrote about it on my other blog, I find remarkable similarities between conservatives and Playstation 3 fanboys. Heres an excerpt:

Point By Point, Sony Fanboy Communities:

* Are by and far the most arrogant
* Is the only community that will not at all ever admit to any fault in the Playstation 3 or PSP at all and would rather justify said faults and spin them as best they can
* Have the highest rate of trolling and flaming
* Care more about owning a Playstation 3 for the sake of a Playstation 3, games, services and all that take second place
* Love to bash other systems and seem to only own a Playstation 3 for the sake of bashing other 'inferior' systems. Truly if the Playstation 3 had no games five million fanboys would buy it to bash its competition

Ahmed,

You're a cut little cube and this post deserves votes, add a few tears, a line or two of verse and go visit those other jerks.

Or else, stay there, like me, preserving your integrity.

Good on you, mate.

It's interesting that John Howard on the one hand says global warming doesn't exist. But then tells voters that we need to vote for the Liberal party because Labour doesn't have a strategy to combat global warming.

How can you say that global warming doesn't exist??

And as for those comments about you......not very nice.

Yeah it is rather interesting KylieW, people who don't have an understanding of whats going on, namely politicians try to use global warming to their advantage when they can and try to prove it doesn't exist using politics.

It's convenient really, no one can see it happening around us... well we can, ice glaciers are melting like nuts, but certain people like to blame it as a natural thing the earth does, obviously these people are hopping mad.

How can we not expect the planet to respond to the dumping of hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of raw pollution into the atmosphere?

Then again, same people who think Mexicans will die out if we start using ethanol for fuel. (not trying to debate the merits of ethanol but thats about the most ridiculous rebuttal against enviromental awareness I have ever heard).

I think you should debate the merits of ethanol. If Iowa didn't have an early caucus in the US, we wouldn't have heard of it. It takes almost a gallon of fuel to make a gallon of ethanol. I appreciate the sentiment, but that's a pretty stupid way to make fuel.

Yeah it is a pretty stupid way to make fuel, though I'm not debating that.

I was debating the merits of global climate change and the entire weight of the scientific community.

whoa Ahmed, calm down!

You're an angry cube!

I've heard if you use biodiesel, your exhaust will smell like french fries!

I heard if you use hydrogen you can use what comes out of your exhaust in a hot shower, now that would be fun (though pretty difficult to do )

I'm perfectly calm btw, just funny how the turning point of an argument against global climate changed turned out to be based on a movie that was created by a man infamous for twisting words to meet his own agenda.
