Electoral voting Machines are Republicans

November 8th 2006 09:28
Yes they are, how else would you explain them converting straight democrat votes to republican votes?

eSlate
The eSlate voting machine is a republican
Programming error? Maybe, but I am still convinced the machines are republicans, because even those that were not ‘programmed’ software wise still flipped democrat votes. Voting on the eSlate machine cannot be explained as a calibration error of the machines as it is not calibrated, and uses no software.

Besides as stated in this article “Jefferson county clerk Carolyn Guidry says her office has checked the calibration of the machines and found no problems”, so no way is it software or programming error. The machines have spoken, war, global warming, and inflating debt for the United States! Wonder why they have such a grim outlook on the future…

Enough with the sarcasm now, simply put, I cannot believe, or accept that a country like the USA can have such a shoddy voting system, nor can I believe that ‘calibration’ errors of the same kind occurred on all four major e-voting machines due to ‘human error’ each time. Sure, humans are far from perfect, but we are not a collective group of earthworms, sometimes we make mistakes, but not in a calculated continuous way that spreads over to everyone in such a manner.

A voter from South Florida said "When I touched the one [button] for the Democratic vote, that button disappeared and the vote went to the Republican." Another from Florida: "He touched the screen for gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis, a Democrat, but the review screen repeatedly registered the Republican, Charlie Crist.".

This, my dear readers, is not a calibration error that through a freakish coincidence extended to many areas in the USA, this screams conspiracy to me. You might have doubts, but you probably have used touch screen machines before, haven’t you? How often has it stuffed up on you? Machines, computers or others, do as they are told, no more, no less.

Hey Ahmed, I wanted to leave a comment to say thanks for leaving a comment in mine, but couldn't think of anything to say, so I'll just keep my mouth shut.

heh, ok... I can tell you have no interest in machines that have voting prefrences

If it makes you happier, I could say, "What an outrage" or "That's just Democrat propaganda", or I could simply say, "I dunno, maybe it was a stuff up, maybe it wasn't".

To the first I'd agree

To the second I'd more or less diasgree

To the third I'm like 'bleh, I doubt it happened in so many places simultaneously'.

But like I said, you obviously have no interst in it

Well, it's just that I don't feel in a position to say anything helpful on the matter. I mean, even if I accept that it happened in so many places simultaneously, I might argue coincidence or mechanical error, but it's not as if I could prove any of these things from where I'm sitting, nor as if you could disprove them.

Mechanically it couldn't have happened to four seperate computers made by four different companies. Simple coincedence just doesn't cut it like this.

There was talk of 'calibration error' with the touchscreen, but the eSlate voting machine uses buttons. Imagine pressing 'a' on your keyboard and getting 'b' printed. Does that ever happen?

Software wise it is more than possible to modify them like this. Interestingly in all incedences the machine pushed towards republicans, never democrats. Isnt that saying something?

Sure, conveniant for them to say this is a 'conspiracy theory', but bloody hell I'll stake my computer science degree that it ins't a theory, and I"m not saying that from the point of view of a crazy leftist but someone who hs been around computers from most of his life.

Just so long as they don't need a recount...

Well they didn't, the Democrats have apparently won anyway.

It's just worrying that the machines are 'malfunctioning' in large numbers, it screams conspiracy to me.

SEems liek the politics have gotten way too dirty for its own good, perhaps not the next, but the presidential election after that is sure going to be violent. Mark my words people will be murdered over their votes.

Well, my electronic voting machine didn't malfunction as far as I know. I checked the review screen and it showed what I had put in there.

What really bothers me about these machines is that my vote is now tied to my name in a database easily accessible to anyone who might care to know.

That, along with the malfunctions you're reporting, makes me think we should go back to marking cards with pens. Sure it took a long time to count, but we were all better off.

Well obviously not all machines will be set to malfunction, though an alarming number of them did and in the same nature.

There could be laws passed forbidding anyone to access that information, heck, there already is one, voters have a right to not disclose who they voted for. There shouldn't be a databae at all, you come, your name is marked off, and you put your vote down, your name doesnt have to appear anywhere on the machine.

If they are in fact taking your name down in the machine they probably are breaking your constitution. There is no need for them to in the first place unless it is in fact for cataloging purpouses. Cry foul to your civil liberties I should think.

Heh, only a matter of time before the independants start rigging electoral votes... only a matter of time.

Sorry, honestly, I am not too sure on the way your american politics work, here in australia we have more than 2 part save for the fact the 2 major ones are both republican-esque...

Two party system here in the states. The Democrats want socialism and communism, the Republicans want money and power.

Sucks.
