MS Paint might be simple but damn well any guy who can put in 500 hours into it can turn up with a masterpiece. A simple bloody masterpiece.

Yeah, I was shocked when I saw it, but it sure took some time to complete.

Still, big kudo's to the artist, thats talent you don't get very often.

With something that looks that amazing I'm sure he didn't mind spending all that time in the end.

Would it be ok for me to post this at a messageboard I post at? I think a few people I speak to on there would be amazed by this.

Well it isn't mine so you are free to do as you wish, but I think you should definately post the source of the image wherever you do post the iamge itself:

Well if the response is anything less than an audible gasp I will consider leaving those boards. Hope it is overwhelmingly positive.

My goodness how the hell he manage to do that? I know that possible through Adobe or Coral in few hours or so(if expert) but hey with MS Pain that really bloody Master work.

I am sure he spent some sleepless night for that work. Kudos! to diamonster. His whole works are awesome,

Ahmed,

Take it from me that image is enhanced in some way. I'll lay pounds to peanuts and I know about these things.

The colours, light effects are just not possible with the tools on hand and with closer inspection and more time spent I could tell you a lot of other things too.

But it's a great image, just not a very truthful one.

Well if he went pixel by pixel, colouring each individually as I assume he did then he would achieve such an end with MS paint, espeically after 500 hours of it.

Having said that you're right to be somewhat suspicious on how it was concieved as there is no proof to suggest one way or the other.

LIke Kams said, it would have been a lot easier in adobe photoshop or something like that.

Umm, its still there.

I've linked to it via html tags because I didn't want to upload it on orbles servers, dunno what the status of the iamge itself is.

Click on 'source' to find its actual location.

Some people are just insanely gifted, wouldn't you agree?

Intersting, looks like the html tags are kind of buggy.

I'll change it to the orble xml and have it hosted on the orble servers I guess rather than linking to it.

Isn't there a photo of exactly the same image? I'm sure I've got one somewhere .. like a postcard or something.

I wouldn't know, if he used another image as a reference I guess its good. BUt if there is a photo which he simply touched up, then I guess he's fooled well oaver 10,000 people by now.

I wonder if MS Paint's color selectors can afford such a robust palette?

I have some deeper criticisms I'm saving for later.

Comment by Ahmed

It actually does, double click on any colour in the pallet and you see a new window pop up, click on the 'Define Custom Colors' in the new window and it will open up a screen with every colour under the sun.

Hmph. See, I always use MS Paint to fuck up the colors in my art. I think that's its best function!

A couple weeks ago I was googling images for something I can't remember now and what should I come across? The photo that this picture is taken from. I wished I'd saved it to post here now but alas I didn't. Still I'm impressed that someone could spend 500 hours doing this.
