BELLATRIX KILLS RON!

July 16th 2007 06:35
Who the hell is Bellatrix? Who the hell is Ron? Not so sure myself but apparently it's all in the Harry Potter series, the one that (in Homer Simpsons words) even 'lonely, lonely grown ups' like.

No, I'm not the type of person who likes jumping to the last page, but this guy is. Presenting to you the ending to Harry Potter, and forgetting to mention who gets date raped (I have a wager Harry finds out he's gay and is hopelessly in love with that fat friend of his).

Whats the deal with Harry Potter anyway? What happened to reading real books like 'Dracula' or 'The Quiet American' or that other one about that dude with the wierd deformaty that makes him super strong?

Talk about giving the wrong impression to little kids, making school such a dangerous place. Though in reality it isn't all like that, in Britain for instance there has been an increase of kids going to bording schools, parents love Harry Potter if only because it makes their kids actually want to leave their nice homes to live in a school.

This isn't really normal with me, not by a long shot, but Michael Moore doesn't seem to have any problems with it, so neither do I. There are fears that the US treasury department may try to confiscat the movie given it is against the law for any American citizen to travel to Cuba (some sort of whacked out law from 1969). Download it and feel noble - you're fighting an oppresive regime trying to censor people.

In reality Michael Moore has nothing to lose and everything to gain, given this is a DVD release of the title I wouldn't be surprised if he was directly responsible for it, who else in the world has direct access to the negatives?

Heres the trailer:

Heres a link to Google. Why not download a bittorrent client such as BitLord? Really cool program

A scientific experiment and analysis that shows what the best thing to do after farting is to avoid the smell, especially in an enclosed area with lots of other people. 'He did it!' would work best here.

Farts Studing - Watch more free videos

The video interested me so much so that I visited Wikipedia to find out about farts (or more accurately 'flatulence'). I discovered some interesting things about them.

For instance the typical 'flatus' contains hydrogen, were talking about raw hydrogen here, alternative fuels anyone? Whats that you say? We don't fart enough? Nope, wrong, we fart twenty to thirty times a night on average.

Obviously we shouldn't be escaping our farts, we should be embracing them. All we need to do is catch the farts... somehow.

Naturally the internet wouldn't dissapoint, I found this helpful infomercial:

Though it is kind of rusty, wouldn't want to sleep with that sticking out of me buttocks. A more modern alternative:

Fart Catcher

Seriously, we could solve our energy problems through the power of fart alone. If there are those of us who don't fart much other people who fart more could sell theres.

Hey it's crazy, but in ten to twenty years it might be a reality.

Theres a Limit To 'Freedom'

June 6th 2007 04:14
What is it with people that make them think the concept of 'freedom of speach' gives them rights beyond others? Gives them the ability to condemn other defensless groups without reason simply because of prejudice? Would sitting around watching freedom of speach in action simply be a passive way of letting harm come to those who can't defend themselves?

Where can we just say 'no, not freedom of speach or expression, shut up, get lost'? When it is adult to adult ala KKK hates Black people? No, because black people are adults too and they can defend themselves, added to the fact people will support blacks against undue hate. Freedom of speach should have its line drawn if and when people start taking it upon themselves to promote hate and attacks against a group or entity that cannot defend itself

Screwing With Nature

May 13th 2007 13:47
While we can make great headways in our society we can't fight our physical make up, we can't have sex like rabbits lest we get STD's, we can't prolong our own lives lest we live in misery and we certainly can't have babies at the tender age of 60 lest we be jerks.

Think about it, after thousands of years of developing we as humans have been fine tuned to make babies at a young age, somewhere between 16 and 30 is probably the ideal age, statistically speaking once you reach 40 the chances of you producing mutant offspring increases considerably

You think to yourself 'if this really is the lord of the conservative Christians then by god the lord is an asshole'.

If I were a certain someone this is how I would spin the news that Bill Clinton has struck up a deal with drug companies to lower the price of AIDS drugs and make it possible to buy a pill that should be taken daily for less than $1

Rumor Control

Wow, I've just acted the part of Mr. Cyber Bully and am hogging the front page (not cool, Ahmed!).

Today was a great day, it was a day that concluded lots of questions I was asking myself recently. Well not asking so much so looking for confirmation of the answers I had

Arabic is a language, an Arab (or Arabian) is a person from an Arabian area. Arabic and Arab cannot be used interchangeably. Understandable that the system is complex, Chinese people speak Chinese and are called Chinese, right? But English speaking people can be American yet we don't say they speak American.

As for Persian? Nothing to do with Arabic, here are multiple sources backing me up

Note: I have updated the article, the original can be found down below. The reason for the edit is because there was some elements of truth to the original article I was responding to on another blog. Some parts of the original article was in fact false due to my rash reaction, I didn't expect there to ever be a rational response to the original video since it seemed to have picked up momentum with hate sites, inevitably CNN, BBC and other major news outlets did provide the fuller picture.

Propaganda is something that has existed with us for many years, propaganda for kids was probably first put into effect during World War 2 via Looney Tunes. Take the following video for example

What is censorship exactly? From Wikipedia: Censorship is the removal or withholding of information from the public by a controlling group or body. What is intellectual property? Again: In law, intellectual property (IP) is an umbrella term for various legal entitlements which attach to certain names, written and recorded media, and inventions.

So long as were letting people show a certain sequence of numbers are we not saying just as well lets all just use leaked source code, let peoples handwork fall into nothingness as we copy and paste it against their permision? Whats the god damned point of intellectual property? It's to protect peoples property that doesn't have a physical existence (such as a story or in this case a certain number that makes encryption), no matter how much you hate that person you cannot and should not have a right to take away his property

Blogging for most is about finding interesting news in and around the web, bringing it back to your blog, posting your opinion on it and linking to the article. Of course you can add a spin on it but there is a limit where you take a story out of context, warp it to your own views then claim innocence when someone actually reads the article. Thats what conservatives (bloggers?) do, and thats what this one did.

Linking to an article and claiming it is what (in a satirical manner) is tarnishing the image of Islam, apparently implying thats what the article he is linking to is trying to get across. Of course he claims he didn't write it hence claims all immunity, perhaps I'll link to an article about dandy lions being the reason for AIDS when it's only about dandy lions causing allergies then claim innocence that I'm just the messenger, of course thats another story entirely

Being a Geek Sucks

April 26th 2007 15:07
Let me just get one thing straight, theres a difference between being a geek and being a hobbyist, if you're interested in movies or even 'Dungeons and Dragons' you're cool, if you're unhealthily obsessed then you're a geek, you're unsocial, you're pathetic.

There is no positive for being a geek no matter how you spin it

The Half Hour News Hour (which even had the name stolen from an older TV show) has been on and around for a while, though not making much of a splash on youtube I do try to look over the fence every once in a while to remind myself that there are people with other opinions which I must respect (though they never seem to return the favor, like a 102 year old Widowed woman living next door to you with her many cats).

I don't understand how 'The Half Hour News Hour' could be funny, I know what funny is, even if I am on the butt end of the joke I know what funny is, funny is confidence, funny is keeping a straight face, funny is keeping your tone consistent (unless the joke involves a lack of consistent tone which is another story all together), most importantly, funny is when you treat your audience with respect and not treat them like a bunch of pre-schoolers watching Playschool, to do that you have to have a little bit of humiliation, ease up a little, something conservatives don't even understand
