Now I know it's all well and good and you shouldn't judge a family by the black sheep, but theres a sense of irony here, isn't there?

I apologise, that was in bad taste.


The Aerion Jet as it's known is the first private jet to reach super sonic speeds, so people like you and I (plus a couple of billion dollars) could own one of these planes.

So why do we start with the middle east market then? Apparently "Initial demand for the Aerion jet will come from Europe and the Middle East," said Niall Olver, chief executive of ExecuJet, responsible for selling the supersonic fighters. I mean jets.

The planes are set to rach Mach 1.6, seat 12 passengers and be able to travel up to 4,500 miles.
