"Candy Mountain" is a fantastic example of where some online games may be heading, presenting a 3D world to go run and shoot stuff.

This has got to be the best iteration of a Shockwave Flash based table tennis game ever. The whole game revolves around the mouse, it is pretty much pick up and play, you can even shoot curve shots if you so wish. It doesn’t cover the full spectrum of table tennis moves, quite the opposite in fact, but it is extremely addictive. You’ll be playing like a pro within a minute of picking this game up.

3rd World Farmer: The Game

3rd World Farmer is a simulator where you play the role of a farmer struggling in the third world. You have two kids and wife and have to run your farm, send your kids off to school and eventually have them marry them off.
It is a game with a political message, go call the neocons, now videogames are anti-US propaganda!

People often claim the internets only real purpose is to be a high-speed porn exchange network... and in a sense that's true.
However one must look at the internet in its broadest sense, it in fact is simply a data exchange network that has been exploited badly in a myriad of different ways, one way is to (admittedly) get easy access to pornography.
