RIAA files biggest lawsuit in history?
December 23rd 2006 11:22
Against a company working completely legally within the borders of its own country, Russia.
The RIAA sues people on behalf of record companies, when I say people I really mean Time Magazines Person of the Year for 2006. Anyone under the sun, if you have so much so touched P2P software you can bet yer balls those todds are after yah.
Throughout the years they have resorted to extortion like tactics, sending letters off to peoples homes detailing a law suit (and sometimes not even doing so) then stating that for a relatively small fine in the tune of $5000 USD all charges would be dropped.
Now they really have done it though, suing allofmp3.com $150,000 for every mp3 they have had on their site from June to October which totals in at $1.65trillion USD.
Ironically they are suing a Russian based company under American laws, pretty pathetic, has literally no standing whatsoever.
