Speak of The Week #8 - Few Days Late, Few Days Gone
October 23rd 2007 16:32
First of all I would very much like to express my apologies to Viacom for ordering those dastardly take downs to YouTube that ended up with zero Daily Show goodness on YouTube. They have in fact made up for it by way of archiving the entire series online!
On that note I'd like to see a few more TV shows going online and being free.
Moving on to conservative satire (two words that just don't go together) I think I can impart some advice to Fox to actually turn their much hyped answer to 'The Daily Show' (also known as 'The Half Hour News Hour') into a success rather than a cancelled tragedy.
Stop being so up yourselves!
I particularly like the part about how four months of his presidency has ended all problems yet George BUsh has been in power for a good while and the problems have only been getting worse. The whole point of 'kidding around' is taking jabs, warranted or otherwise, at yourself and others.
Then again, it does look like they are going for sympathetic laughn.
However there is one person, or more like, two conservatives who seem to have a sense of humour.
(Towards the end).
If all the humor in what I write seems forced, it is, end of year exams kicking in soon, and while I don't have much of a sense of humor and instead try to focus more on providing entertaining content I probably failed miserably in both today.
Why you might ask? Severel reasons, some I'm unwilling to get into, some I am, well one anyway, end of year exams. On that note I won't be around for a few days after today (at least I hope not) so there won't be any crazy rants about human rights, unjust EU, stupid Apple/Open Source fanboys for a while.
Before I do finally go I think I should just post the first part of the 2003 movie 'Freddy versus Jason' from YouTube. The entire movie has been uploaded in parts and it's a simple matter of clicking through.
Enjoy ^_^
