Who Are You Really?

March 10th 2007 07:09
If pictures define us, and if this really cool test is anything to go by then I am, a really cool kind of guy.

Perhaps I create a bit of a love/hate relationship here on Orble, but I did my best to be honest on the test and it seems to have nailed me down pretty well (I’d say 80% accurate).

Mood: Easy Rider

You’re a bit of a romantic and have a taste for the exotic. You love feeling the sea breeze in your hair, sun on your skin… Slip those shoes off… you like to kick back. When it comes to art you are definitely unconventional. You like to think differently, always from another perspective. You have a good sense of humour. Your choice of treat shows that you like to be able to switch off, so you like to switch on…

You’re glued to the box

Fun: Worker Bee

You really value your ‘quiet time’ – to recharge, and reconnect with yourself. You’re not afraid to take yourself away from people and explore your imagination. For kicks you like to switch on and satisfy your curiosity. You’re a bit of a tech head, and maybe a home-body? What grosses you out? You favour the natural look and can’t stand a pumped and plumped plastic experience.

Habits: New Wave Puritan

Clean and pure - your choice of drink shows that on the whole you care about your health and make sure you're putting the right stuff in. As for the whom, you have very cool and contemporary taste and see yourself as a bit of a trend setter. You like your surroundings to be simple and as stylish as you.

Love: Home Soul

You're a real home soul. You care deeply about family life and all that comes with it, the love between a parent and child is so special. When you think of freedom - you think of knowledge, it's obvious innit?

I think about the only thing that was completely misunderstood was the part about me thinking I’m stylish, which I really don’t.

You can also compare your choices to that of other people who have taken the test, of course this is an indication if you just follow along with people or are unique as yourself.

The system this takes is surprisingly simple, but don’t tell them I told you that.

So who are you really?

YTMND

www.YTMND.com

What is YTMND? The website explains it best:

What is YTMND?
YTMND is a site created for the purpose of furthering the creativity of its users. It stems from an idea that, using sound, and image, and some text, the users can convey a point, funny, political, or otherwise, to the general media.

You want an example? Try this.

Oh what the heck, lets make fun of Sony again.

Some more Sony and Playstation 3 bashing (complete with Lex Luthor).

Ever notice how conservative republicans always clamber onto each other to have the biggest picture of the American Flag possible on their respective website? Like it means something about their patriotism.

Isn’t it also strange how these same republics are the first to try to ban freedom of speech, amongst other things, in their same websites? If I’ve learned anything browsing the internet it’s that you will never find someone who’s too conservative to be a fake, you never know what knew one those crazy conservatives will pull.

Enter Shelley the Republican, she puts Orbles own two far right wing neo-cons to shame, she’s the manor the girl or both combined into one. She’s so conservative that she refused to have a baby without her husband paying her, since anything free is obviously communist like and unpatriotic.

She of course also has the biggest American flag she could fit on her little site. It’s all (not) free and good in the end.

Spotlight posts on her freedom blog:

Heritage not Hate

Actually, there’s nothing wrong with slavery anyway. It’s biblically sanctioned. Just read this beautiful passage from Leviticus, as just one of the many examples.
Leviticus 25:44-46:
“Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.”
Isn’t the Bible great? If we followed it’s laws rather than the mad pronouncements of politically correct feminazis things would work a lot better round here, I can tell you!

Liberals Must Die

Friends,

One of the great things about the Internet is that it’s a great information resource for homeschoolers. There was a time when looking up information on the Internet was like being forced to attend a DNC rally in drag. The liberal bias was overwhelming and most sensible parents simply banned their children from using the Internet.

Yes the site is in satire

How Romantic Wazzat?

March 5th 2007 14:13
Either girls don't yearn for romance no more or they really think geeks are dateable human beings one can live with for an extended period of time, or maybe something bordering on impossible has happened, girls have started using the internet.

Maybe they care more about how sensitive guys are, no more stuff about the big muscles, a guy thats worth marrying has to have nail polish done on him and talk like he had the IQ of a gnat and actually ENJOY prancing around the mall *shivers

Tenning.com

I was directed here via a comment from my other blog. It is a Digg style site where people submit top ten lists, the lists themselves are hosted on the servers, there is no outbound linking. You sign up, create the list on there and submit it, it gets voted up if it’s good or down if it… sucks

I have no doubts that the KKK are no more than racist bigots, extreme far right wingers, so extreme in fact they make extremist conservatives look like hippy liberals

To be a romantic, I made that up myself.

Apparently Googe may be a direct reference to a poet called Barnabe Googe

Digg’s Double Standard on Blogs

February 13th 2007 10:13
There’s a nice buzzword on Digg, it’s called ‘blogspam’.

Blogspam is basically when someone submits a post from his or her own blog to Digg to try and get some extra traffic

Pretty Women

February 11th 2007 10:12
Hot or Not is a website where you go through a bunch of photographs and rate other peoples looks on a scale from one to ten. Perfect time waste of time for people who have yet to find the wonders of Miniclip.

Some clever dude decided to get the average of about thirty people for different ratings, for instance about thirty people who got scores from 1 through 3.4 where all merged and averaged out into a single face. By doing so you can get a good idea of what idea beauty is. Bare in mind in the process of creating the computer generated models the faces look cleaner and more attractive than they would in real life

My God You’ve Gotten Fat

I love that line from Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles’, just love it. It is the epitome of comic wit and timing.

Well I’m a plagiarist first and original content creator second, so upon deciding to give myspace a run through to see if I could find anyone from my long lost (and never to be forgotten) past I was thinking of how fat everyone would be now

Blogg-Buzzing to Boring Stories World

January 19th 2007 15:29
I was at first excited about the concept behind Blogg-Buzz yet weary that it might turn into a Digg clone with nothing but what they call on Digg as ‘blog spam’ heaven.

While the submissions are exhibiting similar traits to Digg it looks like the bigger problem Blogg-Buzz is facing is that the community of bloggers it has mustered seems to have lost the plot some way down the line re-posting stories from sites such as Digg and submitting too many stories related directly to blogging

After reaching a peak in 2006 the Pirate Bay has begun to steadily decline in popularity as Mininova has started gaining rank and surpassing the Pirate Bay. This can no doubt be attributed to Mininova’s cleaner interface, English words and heavier moderating of the site, such as quickly removing misleading content.

Coupled with the comfort of not having the MPAA after its arse and the fact it is not planning on skipping the country it looks like Mininova will eventually dominate over all other
