Your Bold Head Matters Most to Those Who Care Least!
Like a man once exclaimed ‘how could the people of this country be watching ‘Dancing With the Stars’ when their president is legalizing torture!? (sic)’ In reference to the news on one channel which lost in ratings to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ on another channel.
Of course the reason for this is the self induced ignorance of people. They don’t want to know, and damn well it is good for GWB and his conservative buddies. They can ravage the constitution in all manner of ways, they just have to do it when no one is watching them.
This actually goes beyond conservatives, back in Iraq for instance Saddam controlled TV stations and as such would allow broadcasting of the more popular shows when he was going about killing people. The reason for this was simple, to keep people preoccupied. It got to the point people knew of this tactic Saddam was using, of course they couldn’t argue, but it became well known that when there was good TV shows Saddam was exercising his tyranny on people.
That is why Britney Spears’ bald head matters, it keeps people occupied with things that don’t affect them and unpopular politicians just love Britney Spears’ bald head.
