Why Conservatives Are Just Not Funny

The Half Hour News Hour (which even had the name stolen from an older TV show) has been on and around for a while, though not making much of a splash on youtube I do try to look over the fence every once in a while to remind myself that there are people with other opinions which I must respect (though they never seem to return the favor, like a 102 year old Widowed woman living next door to you with her many cats).
I don't understand how 'The Half Hour News Hour' could be funny, I know what funny is, even if I am on the butt end of the joke I know what funny is, funny is confidence, funny is keeping a straight face, funny is keeping your tone consistent (unless the joke involves a lack of consistent tone which is another story all together), most importantly, funny is when you treat your audience with respect and not treat them like a bunch of pre-schoolers watching Playschool, to do that you have to have a little bit of humiliation, ease up a little, something conservatives don't even understand.
Which brings me to my little itch that needs a scratch, why did the people cast the same folks from Playschool in the show? They treat the viewer like kids, they go with their rising and falling tones to emphasize key points like the audience needs it shoved down its collective throat to get the 'gag'.

The reason conservatives are not funny is because they lack humiliation, other things contribute as I've already mentioned but their extreme arrogance really does most of the work for them. They are hypocrites, they aren't noble, they only do things for their own good, not for anyone else's good as they would claim, thats why they aren't funny, they never were and they never will be.
They are the product of greedy corporations and as a result, well, greedy corporations just aren't funny no matter how hard they try.

At the end of the day, though, hypocrite or not makes no difference - he is a NewsCorp product like any other. Giving NewCorp BOTH sides of the market.
Conservatives aren't funny - except for being conservative. And that's a scary kinda funny.
Do you mean humility, by the way? 'Cause cons don't have it, but I sure has hell would like to see a few humiliated!!
