Wii More Profitable to Sell Than the PS3 on eBay

Looks like novelties are the new black, people are paying more for them... quite a bit more in fact.
The Nintendo Wii costs $250 brand new from a retailer, the 60gigabyte Playstation 3 costs $600 if you can get your hands on one from a retailer. Also worth mentioning is that there are more than two times the amount of Wii’s than there are Playstation 3’s in the US.
Looking around on eBay the (relatively) plentiful Nintendo Wii is selling around $500, the 60gigabyte Playstation 3 is selling around the $850 mark.
So thinking about it logically, every Wii is making around 100% profit for the eBay sellers wherein the Playstation 3 is making about 30% profit. Because of this the Wii is essentially three times more profitable than the Playstation 3.
And yes, I did take into account the fact some consoles are being sold bundled with games, if you see a Playstation 3 for over $1000 odds are it is bundled with a couple of games.

Heh, maybe lil Johnny should have saved his cash to buy two Nintendo Wii’s for less than a single Playstation 3 and sell them both on eBay, he would have camped out for less of a time and made a larger profit.
