Wii To Get Unreal Engine 3
November 23rd 2007 13:51
During an interview Mark Reign, notable Nintendo pessimist, said that an unnamed Unreal Engine 3 licensee was porting over the engine to the Wii.
So there you have it folks, UE3 coming to the Wii through an unnamed third party. Will it be just like UE2 only with excessive bloom? Only time will tell.

I know one of our licensee who's giving it a shot; it's their own port, in the same way Ubisoft brought Unreal Engine 2 to the Wii - I mean Splinter Cell and Red Steel - Unreal Engine 2, and there's a few others... but it's just, we won't don't do it ourselves.

The level of detail that can be achieved in the graphics depends on the efficienc of the graphics engine...
Though the Wii is technically inferior to teh Plyastation 3 and Xbox 360 so it can't produce the same graphics. Putting UE3 on the Wii means it will have to lose a lot of its graphical prowess but what really interests people is how it will look on the technically inferior console.
